Liner Notes
Salty Dog NEW CD IN 2010 - After the success of previous recordings and Jack's Back album with airplay in Australia and overseas as far as Moscow - Czechoslovakia - Ukraine - Germany and all the way to Alabama!
Steve and Marion are in the process of writing material for their next album and will be in the studio some time in 2010 for another dose of high energy recording with Steve belting out some tunes on his home made Jack Daniels/biscuit tin guitars with Marion on Vocals and harmonica..We will keep you updated on that one!
This album was recorded by Steve and Band friends of the now defunct The Slide Devils in 2006 and has gained great recognition overseas, in fact one of Steve's original tracks (Cruisin') was selected for an Australian contemporary blues compilation and the last time we heard we are proud to say it is the second most down loaded track on that album which is great for an instrumentalist! Special guest was Steve's daughter Madison Plater on drums at the sweet age of 13 on the track ''Jimi Jam'' and she had never recorded before. The rest of the band Ian Amore and Marion Turner sharing the bass guitar on some of the tracks. Ron Plater stepped in to perform on rhythm guitar to help out his nephew record this great album of Surf/blues Tracks dedicated to some his favourite players - Dick Dale, Santana, Roy Buchanan and Robin Trower. For purchase please email us through the website.
