Hi Folks, Salty Dog are taking a mini tour back down to the apple isle again this year and will be performing friday night 28th October. They are looking forward to seeing their followers back at this great little pub where the beer is cold and the meals are fantastic!

They will also be doing a New CD launch!! And about time!!

It is great that Steve and Marion are back in Tassie again after a long break from the Apple isle and this time with full band.

Be sure to catch them at this great little pub only 20 mins drive from Hobart!

It is great to know Salty Dog are back at The Bridge hotel in Forth, Steve and Marion have not performed there for a few years and are looking forward to seeing their friends and followers.

Steve and Marion first rocked up to the Forth hotel over 11 years back returning there 2 to three times a year.

This time they will have the full band with guest drummer and best drummer is Tassie Pete Jermy replacing their current drummer Rhiannon Simpson who is un fortuneatley unable to make the trip to the apple isle, however current band member Bass player Nick Gunsser will be on the boat with Steve and Marion over the mighty bass straight. 
There is going to be one hell of a hoot at the Bridge hotel FRIDAY 18TH feb!!!

Well, it's the time for another big arvo at the Nerrina, every body welcome,  jammers must bring own instruments!

Salty Dog  performed for the first time at the Royal Hotel in conjunction with the Snake Valley Far.

Publican's Vicky and Terry along with the punters demanded they come back and play.

They will probably play out on the deck again in the great atmosphere that is naturally generated by the friendly  people of Snake Valley!
The meals are great, the beer is cold and as usual these country pubs are filled with characters who love having a good chat and a joke or two - so be sure not to miss out on this great night of stinking hot blues these guys have to offer!  TIME 9PM - 12

We are kicking off on a friday night at The Nerrina with a mixture of rock covers..Please bring your friends and the entry is free..

Salty Dog are looking forward to performing back at this great little pub in the bush for the third time.
It ooozes with hospitality as Publican's Carl and Nadine always make you feel welcome.
It has a great vibe and punters come from every where to see the bands perform.

As well as a nice cold beer the tucker is always of high standard.

Yeah! I think the dogs should sell up and move into this venue as they have been
summond by Sean of the Nerrina to play their last month of gigs for 2009 in their home
town Ballarat which is a big change for Steve Plater and Marion Turner as they were always performing out side of their town, either across the waters of Bass Straight to their
favourite interstate destination - Tasmania or crossing the border into another territory for
New Years Eve.
It is going to be a huge night at the pub - so make sure you get a designated driver
or you can always organise through the Nerrina Pub their limosuine service and travel in style.
Be sure to get ya baby sitters organised and and join these award wiinning artists for a
great night of music! Start time to be announced!

We would like to thank all of our supporters through out the year especially Publican's Sean and Kelly of the Nerrina Hotel. They have given us the chance to build up another following of our Five piece Salty Dog. The arvo sessions have been absolutely great and we are looking at a later time slot for the Big Music Day & BBQ arvo's to start at 4pm in the summer months. 

We look forward to your continuing support through in 2010 or for as long as we are able to!

SALTY DOG trio will be performing steaming hot raw high energy blues at the Nerrina for the first time and Stringybark McDowell will be gracing the stage again for a fabulous session of foot stomping blues!
Steve will be pumping out the great licks as usual on his Jack Daniels Home made Cigar box/biscuit tin guitars while keeping the hypnotic beat on drums.
Marion on vocals will be blowing out those tunes on the harmonica as well as playing the washboard.
Stevie Oswald will be thrashing it out on the teabox bass, an instrument marion used to play in the earlier days of Salty Dog. 3pm start $15 entry

Steve is cranking things up on his home made Jack Daniels Cigar Box guitar as well as beating out the tunes on drums at the same time while Marion on vocals will also be blowing out those gutsy notes on the harmonica. 

She has also brought her wash board out of retirement and will scrape a few tunes out with it!
They have also asked their friend Stevie Oswald back who will be thumping it out on the one stringer Teabox Bass!!  The three will swap over instruments through out the show which is sure to be a pleaser!
